E-mail Tips

The most important points about e-mail is that it is another great communication tool that is far more versatile than a phone or fax.
This does not mean that you stop making personal phone calls, sending faxes, or writing letters to correspond, it just means you have an alternative mode of communication that has applications.

This does take a bit of a comfort shift for your normal daily habits, as it hasn’t been used by the great masses yet on a regular basis. Here are some great tips about e-mail:

* E-mail is an immediate medium. When you are communicating digitally there is an urgency to respond, since the Internet is impervious to time zones, business hours, or being put on “hold”.

* Check your e-mail frequently, depending on the amount of e-mail you send and receive. A good rule of thumb is to check at least in the morning and the evening. For those of us who are heavy e-mail users, checking several times a day might be more appropriate.

* E-mail can be directed to your pager if you are so inclined. Check out the local services available to you.

* E-mail offers attachments capabilities, which allow you to send graphical information as well as reports to increase the efficiency of the communication.

Potential buyers will be sending you e-mail from various home sites or your company site. They are going to expect an “immediate” response. You can’t respond several weeks later, as they may have found another savvy agent who handled the lead immediately.
